A video of a dying chimpanzee sharing a last goodbye with her long-time caretaker has been widely circulating on the internet. According to the author of the book, Mama's Last Hug, primatologist Frans de Waal asserts that this is a clear demonstration of the capacity for animals to express their own unique emotions.
