Victor Hernandez, LPC-A
Victor utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to meet people where they are and equip them with the ability to move forward in a healthy manner. He received a B.A. from Saint Edwards University and an M.A. from Arizona State University. He is currently working on his M.A. in Counseling at Saint Edward's University.
Victor was born and raised in California and joined the United States Marine Corps after High School. After serving with the Marines, he worked various civilian jobs before joining the United States Army for service in Europe a year before 9/11. In 2002, he served in Eastern Europe to support peacekeeping operations in Kosovo and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom II in 2002 and 2008.
Victor is no stranger to anger after 20 years of military service in two military branches. He understands how combat and trauma can affect the psyche and how it can be difficult to reach out and receive practical tools and in-depth treatment. He is passionate about helping those who struggle with trauma and anger and providing them with the necessary tools to manage their emotions and face their trauma.
Victor is married with two children and enjoys taking frequent family trips to national and state parks. Interests include Brazilian Jujitsu, boxing, shooting, and hiking.

Having immigrated to the United States from Mexico at the age of 14, I understand the challenges of adapting to a different culture, learning a new language, and finding a sense of belonging in a new environment. My experience navigating two cultures has given me a deep appreciation for the courage, hard work, and patience it takes to start over, adjust, and grow through uncertainty.
I believe my journey has shaped my empathy and compassion for others and my ability to connect with clients who may feel out of place and are learning to balance different parts of their identity.
I also come from a family impacted by generational addiction, an experience that has provided me with a heartfelt understanding of the pain, resilience, and hope that accompany the process of healing. I recognize how addiction can ripple through families, affecting relationships and self-worth, and this personal insight fuels my passion for helping others rebuild trust, find balance, and create healthier patterns for themselves and their loved ones.
